Nick Heywood is a designer, educator and writer. He supports graduate student writing during the Thesis cycle in Interior Architecture and teaches art and design courses at the University of Rhode Island. His writing focuses on the preservation of threatened historic sites and proposed public policy, with an emphasis in the relationship between sustainable practice and historic preservation. In fall 2016, Nick added a decorative arts shop to his studio in Warren, Rhode Island. Nick earned his BIA and MIA from RISD.
